A Year of Global Energy Across Our Food Halls

Across Alfresco at Alfred Works, we’ve launched a new monthly series celebrating global sounds, flavours and cultural moments. This will be a year-long journey through live music, movement, food and shared experience. Every month will look completely different.

If you’re searching for live music at Alfresco, this is where you’ll find it, woven into a wider cultural story that shifts every month. And this is only the beginning. Future events are already lined up, each exploring a different cultural moment, tradition, or creative expression. You’ll find all upcoming experiences on our events page.

About Alfresco

Alfresco is our new outdoor space (which, of course, has a covered area, as the sun does not always shine) and is a sports bar where you can watch all the very best in televised sport whilst enjoying a drink or food from one of our Food Partners.

With a container kitchen serving fried chicken and three live-fire kitchens for you to enjoy, it’s your choice which part of the globe to enjoy. Curious about who’s serving in Alfresco?

This is Alfresco at Alfred Works. Proudly Digbeth. Custard-fuelled. Unapologetically tasty.

Alfresco at Alfred Works brings the best of Alfred Works outside: great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. You’ll find rotating pop‑ups, guest DJs, seasonal serves and one‑off collaborations taking over the space. Whether you’re here for a sunny afternoon spritz or settling in for an evening event, Alfresco is where the good weather meets good times.

Food, Flavour and Summer Energy

Of course, it wouldn’t be us without food. Across Alfresco and Alfred Works, you can enjoy dishes from over 18 Food Partners, each bringing their own flavours, stories and culinary traditions to the table. Whether you’re grabbing something quick between performances or settling in for a long afternoon, there’s always something new to try.

We will be promoting our Kids Eat Free deal through until September, so that means with every adult meal purchased from the same kitchen, your child can enjoy a meal for free.

Everything we’re building is designed to be easy for everyone to enjoy: no barriers, no exclusivity, just great experiences that feel open, inviting, and part of everyday life.

Why This Series Matters

Culture moves.

It evolves, surprises, connects and brings people together in ways that feel effortless.

This series is our way of giving that movement a home.

Month by month, we’re creating spaces where people can discover something new. Maybe it’s a sound they’ve never heard before, a flavour they didn’t expect to love, a workshop that sparks curiosity, or a performance that shifts the energy of the whole room. It’s about celebrating creativity in all its forms and making our halls places where everyone feels welcome to explore.

This series is a celebration of the cultures that shape our cities, the talent that keeps them moving, and the communities that make every single one of our food halls feel like home.

Come for the food, stay for the music, and be part of something that grows, shifts and surprises every month.
