Set just across the river from Alfred Works and the iconic Custard Factory, Alfresco at Alfred Works is our new open-air social space – a laid-back area for relaxing with friends and family and hanging out when the weekend comes (and Thursday is the new Friday, right?).
Next to the outdoor space (which, of course, has a covered area, as the sun does not always shine) is a sports bar where you can watch all the very best in televised sport whilst enjoying a drink or food from one of our food partners. With a container kitchen serving fried chicken and three live-fire kitchens for you to enjoy, it’s your choice which part of the globe to enjoy. Curious about who’s serving in Alfresco? You’ll find rotating pop‑ups, guest DJs, seasonal serves and one‑off collaborations taking over the space. Whether you’re here for a sunny afternoon spritz or settling in for an evening event, Alfresco is where the good weather meets good times.

Getting here
Cycling? Sorted. You’ll find bike rails nearby.
Prefer public transport? We’ve got you covered. There’s a bus stop just a 5-minute walk away, and there are two train stations nearby. Just a 9-minute walk to Moor Street Station, and a 13-minute walk to Birmingham New Street Station.
Travelling by car? While we don’t have on-site parking, there are a few car parks close by.
We are located on Floodgate St. near the railway arches. We can also be accessed from Alfred Works by using the small bridge entrance over the River.
